This has had a knock on effect with the developer’s shares, and as a result of this shocking news has fallen by 8 percent. The company believes that their expected revenue will be $640 million in Q1 2011, this was short of the $734.70 million that analysts expected.

Lawsuit in Super Bowl seat fiasco

Ticket-holding football fans who ended up with no seats or what they considered bad views of the Super Bowl have filed a class-action lawsuit against the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys and team owner Jerry Jones.
The federal lawsuit filed Tuesday in Dallas — just two days after the big game — alleges breach of contract, fraud and deceptive sales practices on behalf of people who ended up watching the game on TV at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, or had seats the lawsuit labeled "illegitimate."

Diet soda linked to heart attack risk

You may feel less guilty if you opt for diet sodas over sugary beverages, but drinking them regularly may raise your risk of heart attack and stroke, a study suggests. In a nine-year study of more than 2,500 people, those who drank diet soda daily were 48% more likely to have a heart attack or stroke or die from those events, compared with those who rarely or never drank soda. There was no increased risk of cardiovascular disorders among daily drinkers of regular soda, says study researcher Hannah Gardener, ScD, an epidemiologist at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

The analysis, presented at the American Stroke Association International Stroke Conference (ISC), took into account a host of cardiovascular risk factors including age, sex, smoking, physical activity, alcohol and calorie consumption, metabolic syndrome, and pre-existing heart disease.

Still, the study doesn't prove cause and effect. And even though the researchers tried to account for risk factors that that could skew the results, they couldn't tease out everything, doctors caution.

"You try to control for everything, but you can't," says Steven Greenberg, MD, PhD, vice chair of the ISC meeting committee and professor of neurology at Harvard Medical School.

People who drink a lot of diet soda may share some characteristic that explains the association, he explains.

Obama quits smoking

Cigarette smoke does not take too long to get into one’s bloodstream. Once in the blood, the toxins in cigarette smoke directly change the structure so that it becomes stickier to one another. Obama said not a heavy smoker who had smoked every day. Yet U.S. President was aware of his bad habits must be stopped. Through determination and family support, the president is already 9 months to quit smoking.
“I have not seen and witnessed no evidence of smoking within nine months,” said White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said when asked by reporters about how Obama has bid to quit smoking as reported by politicsdaily.com.
Heavy smokers or who only occasionally smokes are equally in danger. Research shows negative effects of smoking can occur more quickly than expected, so that a cigarette is enough to trigger heart attacks.

Gibbs said Obama had struggled to quit smoking. “It (smoking) was not something he’s proud of. He knows it is not good for him. He knew he did not like about it,” Gibbs said.

“I think he has been working (trying to quit smoking) with a bang. He has struggled against that habit,” said Gibbs.

The media called Obama’s campaign slogan “Yes We Can ‘suitable enough for his determination to quit smoking. Obama’s smoking habit was under the spotlight when he advanced in the U.S. presidential election 2009. Before elected U.S. President, Obama has been determined to quit smoking.

When Obama’s campaign acknowledged the bad habit of smoking as a teenager. Some photographs are smoking Obama also had a month-monthly campaign of political opponents.

However, Obama said he was not a smoker every day. “I was never a heavy smoker. I’ve quit periodically over the last few years due to strong demand from wives and replacing them with chewing Nicolette (gum),” Obama told the Chicago Tribune during the presidential campaign this time.

At that time, Obama said his wife Michelle has given the spirit and encouraged her to get out of the vicious circle of smoking for health reasons.

In the presidential medical examination in March 2010, Obama declared healthy and continue to struggle to quit smoking. Since the medical examination was announced, the occupant of the White House also never again sees Obama smoking.

Rooster kills man

Rooster Kills Man At Cockfight
I could understand being killed by this giant cock but not a little ol bitty one like he had. I mean, look at the size of the pecker on that thing. he could gouge your face off in one peck

Investigators say a 35-year-old California man who died at a hospital on Sunday was killed by a rooster. Jose Luis Ochoa was stabbed by a knife attached to the leg of a fighting rooster, the Kern County coroner’s office said Friday.
Officials said an autopsy determined Ochoa died as a result of a stab wound to the calf, and the death was ruled accidental. The coroner did not specify exactly how the calf wound killed Ochoa, whether it was excessive bleeding, infection or something else.
Investigators said it was not known if a cockfight was under way at the time of the accident
Jose Luis Ochoa, 35, died Sunday at a regional hospital of a cut to a right calf, according to the Kern County Sheriff`s Department.

Ochoa and others initially fled after Tulare County deputies raided the site of the alleged cockfight near the county line. Officers found five dead roosters, but did not initially issue any citations or make any arrests, the newspaper says."
In the United States, cockfighting is illegal in all 50 states. It`s a brutal blood sport between two roosters in a ring called a cockpit.
There is a thriving cockfighting scene in Southern California, because the penalties for engaging in this bloody "sport" are less severe than those in neighboring states.
For the sake of the chickens (the fowl not the cowardly bastards who engage in this criminal enterprise) the penalties must be stiffened.
At the end of almost every cockfighting event, the dead carcasses of roosters silently testify to the cruel and bloody nature of this "sport."
It is poetic justice that this time it was a man who was killed, and not a rooster. When the cops showed up at the cockfighting event Ochoa chickened out and ran , but he later died at a hospital.
God bless the rooster who killed Ochoa, he deserves to live out the rest of his days in a farm.

julia roberts snow white

Julia Roberts to play evil queen in Snow White reboot

It is confirmed that Julia Roberts will finally be playing the role of the Evil Queen in The Brothers Grimm: Snow White.
It was earlier reported that Julia Roberts was in negotiation with Relativity Media, owned by Ryan Kavanaugh, for the role

Roberts will star in the movie to be directed by Tarsem Singh. Relativity Media has brought forward the release date to June 29, 2012 .
This means that they are ready to go in for a head-on clash with Universal which plans to release their Rupert Sanders-directed Snow White and the Huntsman, with Charlize Theron set to play the Evil Queen and Kristen Stewart and Viggo Mortensen playing the title characters.
Usually, when two big studios are racing to cast and start production on the same film, the first to start production and shooting wins the race, but in this case it does not seem to predict anything. Although now Kavanaugh may start filming as soon as next month, even Universal plans to start shooting in the summer.
The Oscar-nominated The Fighter is also a Relativity Media product. Now with the casting coup of Roberts, Kavanaugh is moving into bigger league. He already has the Henry Cavill-starrer Immortals and another film Goliath in his bag. This may in future lead to his company going public in a big way.

Lady Gaga and Anderson Cooper

Lady Gaga and Anderson Cooper. It's a match made in heaven! On Sunday at 7 p.m. before the Grammy Awards, "60 Minutes" features an in-depth profile of Gaga, 24, the pop star formerly known as Stefani Germanotta.
He'll chat with her about her path from college drop-out to superstar, her philosophy on fame, and her new album.
And Gaga finds out that she may be wildly popular, but not all doors immediately open for her. Literally. Cooper takes her to the apartment where she lived before she became famous and the occupants refuse to let her in.
This Sunday, Lady Gaga tells Anderson Cooper about 'life before the glamour' on television during an interview that looks back at her life.
That quote comes from MTV, who announced that this week's 60 Minutes includes an up-close-and-personal visit with the super star. She is accompanied by the articulate newsman as the two go back to where Lady Gaga once lived in a lower East side tenement.
Sadly, Gaga, Cooper and crew were not permitted entry into her old New York apartment so instead the tribe hung around the skinny stairwell of the building to look at some memory objects Gaga brought along. One of these relics was the first song Mama Monster ever scribed, called, ironically, Dollar Bills.
Lady Gaga. who now has literally tons of dollar bills, has quite a bit to say as she talks to Anderson Cooper about life before, during and after 'the glamour' that brought all this money thanks to her artistry, ambition, and awesomeness.

Scarlett Hookup Rumor du Jour

Scarlett Johansson continues to give hope to former class clowns the world over now that she's been spotted with yet another guy known more for his sense of humor than his ab-tastic physique. On Wednesday night, the not-quite-ex Mrs. Ryan Reynolds, who was supposedly seen looking "quite cozy" with funnyman Jason Sudeikis last weekend, was snapped exiting an Iron & Wine concert in Los Angeles. Seen leaving around the same time: her "He's Just Not That Into You" co-star Justin Long, who has been on-and-off with Drew Barrymore for several years.

Kate Hudson on Engagement

So much for that "secret" engagement. As she gently cradled her swelling belly in a leather skirt, Kate Hudson laughed off claims that she's planning to become Mrs. Matt Bellamy.

"No, no, not that I know of!" she said during a sit-down on Wednesday with Britain's "The Graham

flu vaccine kill all strains

Flu vaccine to kill all strains
English scientists say they have made strides toward the development of a so-called "universal" vaccine to influenza - one that protects against all strains of the potentially deadly illness and which doesn't need to be custom-made each time another flu season rolls around.
In a recent experiment, scientists at Oxford University tested a universal vaccine on 11 healthy volunteers, comparing their risk for infection with that of 11 healthy volunteers who had not been vaccinated, the Guardian reported.
Scientists at Oxford University have successfully tested a universal flu vaccine that could work against all known strains of the illness, taking a significant step in the fight against a disease that affects billions of people each year.
The treatment – using a new technique and tested for the first time on humans infected with flu – targets a different part of the flu virus to traditional vaccines, meaning it does not need expensive reformulation every year to match the most prevalent virus that is circulating the world.
Developed by a team led by Dr Sarah Gilbert at Oxford's Jenner Institute, the vaccine targets proteins inside the flu virus that are common across all strains, instead of those that sit on the virus's external coat, which are liable to mutate.

Best Rivalries of All Time

Greatest Rivalries
Whether in politics or sports, history has seen its share of memorable competitors.
We love it when rivals get on each other, whether on the gridiron, the tennis court or in politics. The Super Bowl may be anticlimactic, given the history of one of the teams involved, but it could be the start of a new rivalry.Packers vs. Bears
The oldest rivalry in the National Football League goes back to 1921. The men are as historic as the NFL itself, with characters like Papa Bear, the Pope of Green Bay and a middle linebacker who was one of the most feared football players ever.
Navratilova vs. Evert
Eighty matches in 15 years is a lot of face-time and a record. Add in political intrigue and a Wimbledon mismatch and you have the makings of a legendary rivalry, as well as a legendary friendship.
Harvard vs. Yale
One of the first college football rivalries ever, going back to 1875, it's intense between these prestigious universities. Notable former Harvard students include over 40 Nobel Prize Laureates, not to mention this graduate. Yale counters quite well and includes a former U.S. president with average grades.
Celtics vs. Lakers
It helps that these are two of the most storied NBA franchises. That two players started as college rivals added fuel. That one team seemed to have the upper hand was another factor. They'll be at it for a while.
Richard Nixon vs. John F. Kennedy
The more you look at this rivalry, the dirtier it seems to become. Some say one stole an election and was unfaithful to his beautiful wife. The other got his political career started through controversial methods, and it ended with the mother of all scandals.
Duke vs. North Carolina
Put two of the most prestigious college basketball programs within 10 miles of each other, then watch as their best coaches become legends, and you can get a taste of the biggest rivalry in college hoops.
Thomas Jefferson vs. Alexander Hamilton
Two of the Founding Fathers, they behaved more like bickering brothers. One wanted a strong central government. The other distrusted big institutions, especially banks. The other advocated the country start one. Sounds like they would fit right in today.
Tiger Woods vs. Phil Mickelson
Rumor has it they do not like each other. One can't stay out of the news, for bad reasons. The other has remained faithful while his wife struggled with her health.
Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Frazier
The greatest boxing rivalry ever? Perhaps. It sure got nasty, but you would expect that from people whose objective it is to hit each other in the head. Their fight overseas has become the stuff of legend.
John McEnroe vs. Bjorn Borg
One was cool on the court. The other screamed at officials. What a contrast! But that makes for a good rivalry. Here's more on their classic Wimbledon match.
USC vs. UCLA
Schools just a short freeway trip apart and bitter rivals, one team has a better record in football while the other was a hoops powerhouse.
Chicago Cubs vs. Chicago White Sox
When these two teams play, someone is liable to get hurt. They played in the 1906 World Series, and one of the teams last won the series in 1908. The Cubs become lovable losers, cursed by a goat, finding new ways to maintain their streak of futility. The other team has a charismatic and controversial manager. The ballparks are just a short train ride apart.
Ohio State vs. Michigan
They first played in 1897, and their rivalry was once rated the best in North America. These two schools do not like each other and their coaches have been known to get into the action. Their personal rivalry was called the "Ten Year War."
Jack Nicklaus vs. Arnold Palmer
The greatest rivalry in golf history, it was conducted by two friendly rivals and was likely a changing of the guard in pro golf. Their rivalry put golf on TV, and the sport has never been the same.
Yankees vs. Red Sox
Another bitter baseball rivalry, another curse. The two most legendary baseball franchises hate each other. One calls the other "The Evil Empire." The other bought one of the best players in history from the other for a song. It's great baseball theater when these two rivals get on the field.
Bobby Riggs vs. Billie Jean King
The "Battle of the Sexes" featured an over-the-hill men's player against one of the best women players ever. Held at the height of the women's liberation movement, their match may be the most famous tennis game of all time.

Year of the Rabbit

People born in the Year of the Rabbit are articulate, talented, and ambitious. They are virtuous, reserved, and have excellent taste. Rabbit people are admired, trusted, and are often financially lucky. They are fond of gossip but are tactful and generally kind. Rabbit people seldom lose their temper.

They are clever at business and being conscientious, never back out of a contract. They would make good gamblers for they have the uncanny gift of choosing the right thing. However, they seldom gamble, as they are conservative and wise. They are most compatible with those born in the years of the Sheep, Pig, and Dog.

Al-Qaida close to nukes?

As London recovers from the latest deadly al-Qaida attack that killed at least 50, top U.S. government officials are contemplating what they consider to be an inevitable and much bigger assault on America – one likely to kill millions, destroy the economy and fundamentally alter the course of history, reports Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.

According to captured al-Qaida leaders and documents, the plan is called the "American Hiroshima" and involves the multiple detonation of nuclear weapons already smuggled into the U.S. over the Mexican border with the help of the MS-13 street gang and other organized crime groups.

Farrah Fawcett's Red Swimsuit Goes to Smithsonian

The red swimsuit that helped make "Charlie's Angels" actress Farrah Fawcett a 1970s icon became part of the Smithsonian's collection Wednesday on what would have been her 64th birthday.

Fawcett's longtime companion Ryan O'Neal presented the swimsuit and other items to the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History in Washington. O'Neal said Fawcett, who died in 2009 after battling anal cancer for several years, always intended to give the suit to the museum.

"They asked her years ago for the bathing suit," he said. "So it was always in her plan."

Fawcett wore the bathing suit for a photo shoot shortly before her debut on Charlie's Angels in 1976. The resulting poster sold millions of copies and became the best selling poster of all time, according to Smithsonian curator Dwight Bowers. Bowers compared the poster to World War II pinups of Betty Grable and Rita Hayworth, saying it became a symbol of the 1970s era.

Though fans know the bathing suit as red, it is actually a burnt orange color, possibly due to fading. Before it was donated to the museum, Fawcett framed it herself, and it was stored at a Los Angeles warehouse, O'Neal said.

Nels Van Patten, Fawcett's friend and tennis coach who was with her during the bathing suit shoot, said Wednesday she did her own hair and makeup for the pictures and didn't have a mirror. She also squeezed a lemon in her hair to get natural highlights, he said.

Also donated to the Smithsonian were Fawcett's book of scripts for the first season of "Charlie's Angels," a 1977 Farrah Fawcett doll and a "Farrah's Glamour Center" styling kit for creating her signature hairdo. The items will be part of the museum's popular culture history collection and will go on display this summer.

Fawcett's friends and family at the museum Wednesday for the donation included Fawcett's son with O'Neal, Redmond O'Neal, and O'Neal's daughter, Tatum O'Neal.

O'Neal, who became choked up during the ceremony, said later he feels Fawcett's presence every day.

‘Glee’ cast apologizes to Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan reportedly ran into members of the cast of “Glee” (see photos of the cast) over the weekend. According to TMZ, the cast apologized for mocking Lindsay in an episode last year starring Gwyneth Paltrow.
