Fantasia Barrino's recent weight gain fueled online rumors that the R&B singer was expecting a child, but her manager gave another explanation.

"Fantasia's pregnant with prosperity," manager Brian Dickens told CNN on Tuesday.

The 2004 "American Idol" winner is gaining weight in preparation for a movie role, Dickens said.

The One Tree Hill star, 27, debuted her first single, I Won’t Give Up, on Tuesday’s episode of the hit CW show.
Kramer recently signed a deal with Warner Music Nashville.
I Won’t Give Up is about never giving up on the ones you love,” Jana said.
“I wrote this song because I know what it’s like to be dependent on someone and then have to learn to stand on my own again.”
Jana split from husband Johnathon Schaech in August 2010 after just one month of marriage.
The pair — who met in 2008 while shooting Prom Night — wed on July 4, 2010, in Michigan.

Scarlett Johansson continues to give hope to former class clowns the world over now that she's been spotted with yet another guy known more for his sense of humor than his ab-tastic physique. On Wednesday night, the not-quite-ex Mrs. Ryan Reynolds, who was supposedly seen looking "quite cozy" with funnyman Jason Sudeikis last weekend, was snapped exiting an Iron & Wine concert in Los Angeles. Seen leaving around the same time: her "He's Just Not That Into You" co-star Justin Long, who has been on-and-off with Drew Barrymore for several years.

Superman producer missing

The man who helped bring Superman to big screen has been found after he was reported missing in Mexico, friends and family told NBC Los Angeles.
Ilya Salkind, who produced the 1978 film "Superman" with his father and spearheaded two sequels, was last heard from on Jan. 30. The 63-year-old was found sedated in a hospital in the country, the gossip site TMZ.com reported late Thursday.
There were no additional details immediately available about the incident.
The 63-year-old was staying at his family's home in Tepozlan, just south of Mexico City.
