Hugh Jackman is aiming to be one tough Wolverine . He’s reportedly eating 6,000 calories a day and working out to add bulk for his next appearance as the comic book character.
In an effort to add muscle for his role in the new Wolverine movie, Hugh Jackman is eating a super high calorie diet of 6,000 calories a day.
The actor wants to portray a more muscular version of the superhero this time around. Jackman is currently 20 pounds heavier than he was in 2009. He currently weighs around 210 pounds.
The 42-year-old actor is also following and intensive training program that is specifically designed to put on as much muscle mass as possible. Jackman hopes that his training combined with the super high calorie diet will give him the body he thinks the ultra tough Wolverine should have.
In the comic books, Wolverine, although short, is an extremely muscular character with bulging biceps and a powerful chest. It is clear that Jackman is trying to bring that look to the big screen.
